Stuff the Stands!!! Saturday, May 10, 2008
Stuff the stands is an annual event in Williamston. All soccer
and sports fans are invited to come out and support the Williamston
High School Girls Soccer teams. Each year an attendance record is
sought as we "stuff the stands" with fans! The current
record is 962 - let's beat it! Come be a part of the excitement
as the Williamston Hornets battle the Dewitt Panthers (both teams
are ranked top 5 in the state for D2 and D3).
Schedule of events:
3:00pm Alumni Game
5:00pm Junior Varsity Game
7:00pm Varsity Game (main event)
7:45pm Half-time Prizes
Location: The Williamston High School Soccer Complex, 3939 Vanneter
Rd.
Free Admission: There will be NO admission charged for this special
event!
Special Notes: You may want to bring a folding chair. Some bleachers
were destroyed in the October tornado. We do have temporary stands
set up, but not enough.

2008/2009 Tryout and Registration Information
2008/9 Tryouts for USSF/CASL teams will be held June 18 and 19
with a make up date on June 23. Registration forms will go home
from school and be posted on this website the week of May 12th.

Williamston Takes 2nd in Spring Shootout
Williamston High School girls soccer team hosted the Spring Shootout
on Saturday, April 19. Top teams from around the state gathered
at the Williamston Soccer Complex for the tournament. Our girls
easily advanced to the finals after victories over Frankenmuth and
Detroit Country Day. The final against Flint Powers had Williamston
down 0-2 at the half. Two goals scored by Victoria Beasley tied
up the game at the end of regulation time. The winner was determined
by a shootout. Williamston took the 2nd Place trophy. The day ended
with a great exhibition game between Aquinas College and Saginaw
Valley State University. Saginaw Valley, with goals by WHS alumni
Jacqueline Barrett, won. A fun time was had by all. Congratulations
Hornets!

Kindergarten Soccer Spring 2008
The Williamston Soccer Club presents Kindergarten Soccer 08. Dates
are Fridays April 25, May 2, May 9 and May 16 from 5:30pm to 6:15pm
at the new location; Williamston High School Soccer Complex

1st Grade Soccer Spring 2008
The Williamston Soccer Club presents 1st Grade Soccer 08. A new
format has been created for our 1st grade players. Each player will
be placed on team and compete in actual small-sided games against
other 1st grade teams. This is open to both boys & girls. Dates
are Fridays April 25, May 2, May 9 and May 16 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm
at the new location; Williamston High School Soccer Complex

2008 Summer Youth Soccer Camp
The Williamston Summer Youth Soccer Camp will be held July 21 to
July 24, 2008. The camp is run by Williamston High School coaches
and is open for K-8 players. Check back soon for registration information
and details.

Williamston Hornets Win Districts
Congratulations to the WHS Varsity Boys Soccer Team for winning
Districts. The team beat Delton-Kellogg 2-0 on Friday 10/19/07 advancing
to the District Final. The final was played Saturday 10/20/07; WHS
Hornets versus Lansing Catholic. The Hornets won 3-2. Great job
guys! The Hornets now advance to Regionals with the first game against
Gross Ile scheduled to be played in Williamston. Jackson Lumen Christie
plays Detroit Country Day in the other Regional game.

Williamston Takes League Championship
The Williamston Hornets soccer team takes the 2007 CAAC White Division
League Championship undefeated. Congratulations guys! Williamston
plays Grand Ledge Tuesday Oct. 9 in CAAC Post-season tournament.
