May 7, 2013 Williamston Jubilee Inaugural 4v4 Soccer Tournament

Join us for the inaugural Williamston Jubilee 4 v 4 Tournament on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the Williamston High School Soccer Fields.

Teams will be grouped in boys and girls groupings u8 to U18 and open. Register your team before May 25, 2013 for $125 per team. After May 25, 2013 registration is $150 per team.

April 8, 2013 Kindergarten / 1st Grade Soccer Program

Hey kids, come on out for some soccer fun! This program is for both boys and girls in Young 5’s, Kindergarten and 1st Grade. Each session will include a short “practice” and then small-sided games.The program meets 4 times; Wednesdays and Fridays evenings beginning Wed. 4/24/13. Please click here for a flyer.

March 1, 2013 Girls High School Coaching Staff Announced

It with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of Becky Marton as head JV girls coach for the 2013 season. Becky played 4 years of varsity soccer at Alma College. Her senior year she was voted 1st team All Region and was selected to play on an elite US National team which played in Brazil during 2012. Becky is no stranger to Williamston Soccer. She played 4 years on the varsity team, was a captain her senior year and a member of the 1st Williamston Soccer team to play in the state finals. During her career she was all league 3 years, on the Lansing State Journal Dream team, and was selected as a 1st team All State Player. Please join me in welcoming her back in a coaching capacity here at Williamston.

Meghan Gorsuch will again be the main assistant on varsity with additional duties as assistant in the JV program. Kate Flore will assist both programs and will help with conditioning and other soccer related tasks. Becky will also assist on the varsity. Alison Ede a Ph.d student at MSU, will consult in the area of Sports Psychology. Jim Flore is head varsity coach.

October 31, 2012 Hornets Advance to State Finals

The WHS Boys Soccer Team won the semi-final game against Elk Rapids Wednesday, October 31 in a shootout, 2-1 final. The team will play Grand Rapids South Christian in the MHSAA Division 3 State Final at 12 noon on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at East Kentwood. Go Hornets!

October 26, 2012 Hornets Win Regionals

The Williamston High School boys soccer team are regional champions after defeating Frankenmuth 2-0 on Friday, October 26, 2012, a first in the history of the program. Congratulations Hornets! The team plays Elk Rapids on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at GR Christian at 7pm in the MHSAA semi-final game. The winner of this game will play in the state championship final on November 3.

October 20, 2012 Hornets Win Districts and Host Regionals

The Williamston High School boys soccer team are district champions after defeating Durand 3-1 on Saturday, October 20, 2012. The team now moves on to the regional semi-final against Freeland on Tuesday, October 23 at 5pm. The 2nd semi-final will be Imlay City v Frankenmuth at 7pm. Both games and the final on Friday, October 26 will be played at the Williamston Soccer Complex. The weather will be great so don't miss these exciting games.

August 7, 2012 Williamston Youth Summer Soccer Camp Success

The Williamston Youth Summer Soccer Camp was held July 23-26 for players entering Young 5's to 6th grade. The camp was run by Williamston High School coaches and varsity soccer players from the men's and women's programs. The kids had a great time learning new skills, making new friends and of course playing soccer.

June 16, 2012 Williamston Soccer Club Teams Win Championships

Two Williamston Soccer Club teams won their division championships in the Capital Area Soccer League this spring. The Williamston Hornets coached by Mark Porrell won the U14 Boys division with an undefeated 8-0 record for the second time in a row. 16-0, 45 goals for, 8 against for the combined fall and spring seasons. The Williamston Stinger coached by Kris Catton and Keith Pfeifle won the U14 Girls division with a 7-1-0 record. Good luck to both of these teams as they move onto high school this fall. The Williamston Sting coached by Heath Plaxton and Michael Murphy were runners up in the U10 Boys Blue division.
